    隨著中國改革開放的不斷深入，中國藝術(shù)家開 始對中國的政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、社會和文化的巨大變遷進(jìn)行反思，并將反思后的結(jié)果直接體 現(xiàn)在作品之中。由于對西方現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)資源的逐漸掌握，在接觸到國際上流行的創(chuàng)作思 潮和方式之后，一些藝術(shù)家轉(zhuǎn)而采用攝影或錄像作為創(chuàng)作媒介，利用網(wǎng)絡(luò)數(shù)碼科技完 善攝影人的表現(xiàn)語言，讓攝影作品在各種媒介的輔助下更加真實的反映攝影者的創(chuàng)作 意圖，同時也迎來了中國當(dāng)代藝術(shù)進(jìn)入多元化時代。

    Amid the unceasing development of modern arts of China, photography nowadaystakes up diversified expressive forms, which constitute an important part of modernChinese art. All of them, e.g. the initial pictorialism photography, the pure documentaryphotography and the present conceptual photography with extraordinarily strongexpressiveness, manifest the rapid development of photography as an art.As China's reform and openingup develops further, Chinese artists begin to retrospectthe tremendous changes in China's politics, economy, society and culture and directlymanifest their reflection results in their works. Due to their gradual mastery of the westernmodern artistic resources and after acquainting themselves with the creation trends andforms currently popular in the world, some artists begin to resort to such media as photography or video and digital technologies to improve the expressive languages ofphotographers and to enable their photographic works to reflect their intention much more closely with the help of various media. In so doing, they usher in the era of diversification of modern arts in China.

    Today, modern Chinese photography appears much more frequently in important international exhibitions and artistic expositions. The international artwork market begins to pay attention to Asian arts, in particular, to collect modern Chinese arts,which certainly include modern Chinese photographic works. Cloud & Sky Photo Image Gallery aims to provide a platform of communication and display for the development of photography art and its tenet is to furnish a bridge to the outside world for Chinese photographic creation. In particular, it aims to provide a space for promising photographers to display their artistic concepts and for Chinese photography to flourish among modern arts of the whole world.
